Every September 30th

The Indigenous Dental Association of Canada (IDAC) recognizes that Every Child Matters. While we work tirelessly toward Reconciliation all year alongside committed dental organizations to make dentistry a safer space for Indigenous people today and tomorrow, we take this time to respect this day to remember the past. On this day, and all days, IDAC remembers the children who did not make it home from the residential school, the survivors/thrivers who were profoundly impacted by the residential schools, and of course, the families that were inevitably and detrimentally harmed by Canada’s harmful colonial history that enforced the residential school system.
