  • Dr. Meredith Brownlee

    Dr. Meredith Brownlee earned her B.Sc. in 1999 from the University of Winnipeg with double majors in Biology and Biochemistry. She then earned her D.M.D. from the University of Manitoba in 2004. She practiced general dentistry for 7 years providing dental services primarily in northern and rural Manitoba, before finding her passion in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Brownlee undertook her training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Connecticut, obtaining her Master of Dental Science in 2014. Dr. Brownlee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

    From 2014 to 2020 Dr. Brownlee was the Head of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and an assistant professor in the Dental Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences department of the University of Manitoba, where she taught undergraduate dental and dental hygiene students and graduate dental residents. She also ran numerous continuing professional development courses for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental specialists. She is now pursuing a career in private practice Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and teaching continuing education lectures.

  • Mr. Pete Sanderson

    Pete Sanderson is a Certified Property Manager (CPM). For 4 years he taught part-time as a faculty member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM USA), and the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC).

    He is also a Certified Leasing Officer (CLO) with REIC. and has a BA, from U of Toronto.

    Pete has been a property manager since 1974. He has managed property from Burlington to Vancouver, including co-op, not-for-profit, public and private sector properties.

    Pete‘s first job after military service was managing the Willow Park COOP properties at Burrows and Keewatin in Winnipeg. He then managed 2000 units of public housing for Winnipeg Regional Housing.

    In the private sector, he had been directly responsible to investors/owners for the operational performance and value of more than 100 commercial properties, including some 100 commercial leases and more than 15,000 multi-housing units in Canada and the USA.

    He later reviewed property performance for the CMHC portfolio management dept., including audits of Saskatchewan Housing and the MMF.

    Pete took early retirement from CMHC in 1997.

    He purchased property in Winnipeg, Thompson, Dauphin and Selkirk. These properties were re-developed, renovated, rented and successfully sold.

    He is also engaged in property tax appeals and asset and property management consulting with other practitioners.

    He is retired but active as an advisor or board member on several Not-for-profit housing entities

    Misc (Not for Profit) Pete has had “skin in the Low-cost housing game”

    Peter is familiar with housing issues for persons of low and modest income having been a Public Housing Branch manager a Portfolio officer with CMHC, a private sector manager of Limited Dividend properties as well as an owner-operator of more than 150 low-income- housing units and rooming house units in CORE areas.

  • Dr. Sheri McKinstry

    Dr. Sheri McKinstry / Wabishki mitadim ojichidaa ikwe is co-Founder of the Indigenous Dental Association of Canada (IDAC) and the newly formed Indigenous Oral Health Research Centre (IOHRC) located on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional territory of Cree Peoples, and specifically the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation whose urban reserve Asimakaniseekan Askiy (Veterans land) is the location for IDAC’s home.

    Dr. McKinstry is Anishinaabekwe/ Nêheyaw-iskwêw (paternal), Métis (maternal) and proud member of Sagkeeng First Nation located on Treaty 1 Territory in Manitoba. Her family originates from Sagkeeng First Nation, Peguis First Nation, Fisher River Cree Nation, Little Black River First Nation, and Manigotagan (“Bad Throat”) in Manitoba.

    Sheri completed a Bachelor of Science in 2001, a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry in 2005, a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2005, and a Master of Dentistry in 2020, all from the University of Manitoba. Dr. McKinstry also completed a Master of Public Health, specifically in the Indigenous Peoples’ Health pathway at the University of Victoria in 2017.

    Sheri is a pediatric dental specialist and surgeon practicing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She is also the Dental Officer for the dental therapy program with Indigenous Services Canada in Saskatchewan (ISC); she also contracts with ISC for Jordan’s Principle. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
